If interested email resume to dermworker@aol.com repost Physician Assistant Program- Academic Coordinator Towson University – CCBC/Essex Physician Assistant Program Towson, Maryland The Office of Collaborative Programs invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track, 10-month Clinical Assistant/ Associate Professor position as the Physician Assistant Program Academic Coordinator to begin August 2014.    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:   A minimum of a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a closely related area is required; as well as NCCPA certification and certification, or eligibility for certification, in the State of Maryland.   A minimum of three years of clinical/professional experience and evidence of currency in clinical/professional practice is required.  The candidate should demonstrate competence in clinical/professional teaching in medicine and clinical skills.  Experience in higher education teaching and interdisciplinary activities and demonstrated success in working with diverse populations are highly preferred.  To qualify for the rank of Clinical Associate Professor, the candidate must fully meet all Towson University criteria for this rank.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES   Primary responsibilities include high-quality teaching in undergraduate and graduate courses; teaching/supervision of students in clinical/professional areas; maintaining high level clinical/professional excellence; academic advising; engaging in scholarly activities in the area of clinical/professional expertise; and engaging in University and community/professional service.  The successful candidate will have experience in program and/or curriculum development, as well as curriculum/sequence, organization and evaluation. APPOINTMENT INFORMATION:   A non-tenure-track appointment with an August 2014 start date is highly preferred.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Towson University offers excellent fringe benefits including leave, health and life insurance options, pension plan, and tuition-waived education for employees and immediate family.   DEPARTMENT AND PROGRAM INFORMATION: The Office of Collaborative Programs, located within the College of Health Professions, has 14 full-time faculty and more than 350 undergraduate majors in Allied Health, Gerontology, and Health Care Management; and approximately 200 graduate students in Gerontology, Autism Studies, Physician Assistant Studies, Clinician-Administrator Transition and Integrated Homeland Security Management.  The Physician Assistant Program has six full time faculty and several part-time faculty, and is offered full time year-round in a 26-month format.  This Towson University one-year renewable clinical position joins the combined Towson-CCBC program faculty, based on the CCBC-Essex campus.
