Orthopaedic Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The position
consists of both the OR and the Clinic. Also if desired, the position
can include almost all clinic and minimum OR. The PA (as part of a
team) will work directly supporting a group of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
The PA will handle total joint, knees, spine, sports, general and
fracture cases. Responsibilities include: patient evaluations and
education, removing casts and pins, consultation, ordering and
reviewing lab tests, writing scripts, rounds, injections and first
assist. The new PA will have the opportunity to run a clinic. Call
coverage is 1/5. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. The

Specialty. The PA will be an integral part of an orthopaedic trauma
team working with cutting edge technology. The position includes
general orthopaedics and trauma. The trauma Doctors handle cases
involving: ankle, humorous, hip, F&A and pelvic, wrist fractures,
open and closed fractures of the femur and tibia, intra-articular

NEW YORK (25 minutes to Manhattan) Physician Assistant – Orthopaedics (Will train)
Orthopaedic
Department of a state-of-the-art Hospital seeks to add another PA to
their team. The department handles all orthopaedic injuries (sports,
spine, total joints, hand, F&A etc.). The department is in the
forefront of minimally invasive surgical technology. They are also
involved with new product trials and research.
The
new PA will support all sub-specialty trained Orthopaedic Surgeons
within the Department of Orthopaedics. This is a hospital based
position! Specific responsibilities include: OR (performing first
assists), post and pre-operative care, H&P’s, injections,
reductions, rounding, casting and splinting, coordinate with PT/OT
Departments, writing prescriptions, ordering tests, and managing
records. Call is one in six weekends and two to three weeknights per
month. The position is four days per week and a total of 40 hours. If
additional hours are worked, the PA will be paid. Compensation depends
on experience level.
Successful
candidate must be NCCPA-certified/eligible. The group desires an
experienced Ortho PA, but will consider a new PA. Only new graduates
with an Ortho rotation and NY license and available for employment
within 30 days. The new PA must have excellent interpersonal skills,
be self motivated, and procedural-oriented. Preference is for local
candidates. Candidates must be living in the New York Metro area and
must be available to start within 60 days!
