Philadelphia University’s Physician Assistant Studies Program is seeking an organized, energetic physician assistant for the position of Assistant Clinical Coordinator. This unique position is a hybrid – approximately half of the time will be spent in the didactic (classroom phase) of the program and the other half will be spent on the clinical rotation phase. Responsibilities include assisting the Clinical Coordinator with clinical site development, student assignments, coordination of clinical faculty, student site visitation, interfacing with clinical preceptors, student advising, and general supervision of the learning experience at clinical sites. This position will work closely with the Clinical Coordinator and administrative staff, as well as our entire faculty team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their lecturing expertise as well as assist with the administrative functions of the clinical education program. This full-time, 12-month faculty position also offers a clinical practice day each week.
Applicants must be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program, have NCCPA certification, and have the minimum of a Master’s of Science degree. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. They will also possess a strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software. Experience with the E*Value data management system is desirable. Previous experience as a faculty member is desirable; experience as an assistant/associate clinical coordinator or clinical coordinator is highly preferred.
Travel is required (most travel is local, but there is some travel to distant sites); the successful candidate must have a driver's license and car.

Job Description: In consultation with the Physician Assistant Studies
(PAS) Dean and Program Director, faculty engage in teaching,
scholarship, and service activities; coordinate and/or teach didactic
courses; participate in clinical-related activities; participate in the
development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum for PAS
education and in the development and incorporation of instructional
experiences within the curriculum designed to achieve and maintain
compliance with ARC-PA standards; serve as an ambassador for the PAS
program through participation in service activities; serve on
college-wide and school-specific faculty committees; maintain a program
of scholarly productivity appropriate to academic rank, and participate
in professional development activities. Additional responsibilities may
be assigned by the Program Director.
Requirements: A minimum of a master's degree; a minimum of two years of
clinical experience; current PA national certification; eligibility for
MA state licensure; strong organizational and PC skills. Desired:
Higher education experience.

Responsibilities: This is a fiscal year (12-month) full-time position that reports to the program director/chair. The successful candidate will offer courses to graduate physician assistant studies students, and will assist in the development and management of the PA program curriculum within the guidelines of the ARC-PA Standards. Work with division and college leadership to attain and maintain accreditation and NCCPA certification. Participate in admissions activities and provide advising and academic counseling of students. Participate in scholarly activity and service to the college and community.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PA program, possess a graduate-degree (master’s required, doctorate preferred), be NCCPA certified with a minimum of five years of clinical experience, and hold a current license in Ohio or be eligible for licensure. Experience in PA higher education is desired.
