The W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center located in Salisbury, NC is looking for a Physician Assistant with at least 1 years experience in psychiatry.
Our Mental Health Service Line provides care in several psychiatric settings: Inpatient units, ambulatory programs, residential program for substance abuse, PTSD residential program, emergency department, medical-surgical psychiatric ward and geriatrics with extended programs. Our Physician Assistants enjoy the flexibility of providing mental health care in all mentioned settings. Duties range from evaluating patients in outpatient settings including the ER for medication management, making appropriate referrals/consults, follow-up, treatment planning, performing initial and interim psychiatric evaluations and admitting psychiatric patients to inpatient unit.

The W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center located in Salisbury, NC is looking for a Physician Assistant to work in our Buprenorphine program within substance abuse services. Our PAs performs initial and interim histories and physical examinations on assigned inpatients and outpatients, as well as daily physical assessments on general psychiatric and substance abuse inpatients and outpatients. The PA will support an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a Spine Fellowship. This Doctor focuses on spine cases which include the latest minimally invasive technologies as well as complex spine. The Doctor’s practice includes complex reconstruction for spinal deformities including spinal cord compressions etc. There may be some general orthopaedics as well. Responsibilities include: providing first assist, running a clinic, patient evaluation and education, pre and post-H&P’s, consultation and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. Any previous orthopaedic experience is preferred, however, the group will train a new PA with some medical background (i.e.: RN, ATC, PT, Scrubb Tech. etc.). The group prefers a candidate that has ties to the region.
The location is in the beautiful Palm Springs area. This area is a MECCA for golf and tennis. The new PA will run their own Orthopaedic Prompt Care Clinic. Cases will include new and existing patients and consists of a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. Responsibilities include: H&P’s, injury evaluation, fracture care, aspirations, injections, rounds and providing patient education. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible, highly motivated and hard working. Previous orthopaedic experience is required! This is a full-time position which consists of flexible shifts as well as some Saturdays. Also, there is no call required.
The new PA needs to be an independent thinker, able to work well in a fast-paced environment and needs to have excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years PA experience in urgent care, orthopaedics or emergency department (other areas will be considered).

We are seeking a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant interested in joining a well respected Neurosurgical Group convenient to Houston, Texas. The Neurosurgical Physician Assistant would work in the clinic as well as the OR and rounding in house (50% Clinic and Rounding / 50% OR). The Physician Assistant would be paired with one specific Neurosurgeon. The group consists of 5 Neurosurgeons and their related Providers. Call is rotated on an equitable bases between the for of them, but the PA takes “first call”. The clinic hours are Mon-Fri (8:00am-5:00pm) when the Provider is not in surgery which is equivalent to 50% of the week. The total adjusted RVUs would be approximately 3,000 and the surgical case volume was 300. The Providers duties and experience desired would include first assisting, daily rounding of all patients (to include ICU), new inpatient and ER consultations, placing orders (pre and post op), ordering and reviewing appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests such as CT’s, MRI's, MRV’s, myleograms, and other radiographic studies. The Neurosurgeon would prefer a Surgical PA with experience in craniotomies for tumor resection and evacuation of intracranial hemorrhages, aneurysms, VP shunts, Chiari Malformations, , Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomies. Minimally Invasive craniotomies for tumor resection, Endoscopic Transsphenoidal tumor resections placing and managing and removing EVD’s, lumbar drains, and ICP bolts. The Provider should be familiar with brain and spine instrumentation as well as several brain and spine navigation systems. The starting base salary is $135,000-$145,000+ (Negotiable Depending Upon Experience and calculated from 2012 NERVES Survey) including Medical, Dental, 401K with Match, 30 days of PTO time, CME, and CME allowance. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an Urgent Care/ Express care clinic in Southeast, Texas. The Provider would be work with routine, chronic and acute (non emergent) patients as well as patients with work related injuries and conduct DOT physicals and health / wellness appraisals. The Provider can anticipate an estimated patient volume of 25 patients per day in the clinic with excellent collaborative support and physician oversight. The hours are 8:00am-8:00pm (12 hour shifts) 3 on 4 off and 4 on 3 off with occasional weekends. The clinic has On-site, lab, X-Ray and EMR as well as a stable support staff. The base salary would start at $65 per hour (Depending Upon Experience) plus a comprehensive benefits package including, Medical, Dental, 401K, Malpractice Coverage, CME Allowance, and Paid Time off for CME.
