PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT FOR NEPHROLOGY
Gould Medical Group, a Sutter Health affiliate, is seeking a Physician Assistant for its Nephrology department in Modesto, California. The position is responsible for clinical oversight, medical management, performing diagnostic assessments, prescribing medication, ordering diagnostic testing, performing procedures, and ordering physical and other therapies. The Physician Assistant will provide education and support to patients and families, and recommend and perform appropriate preventive measures to maintain health.
Duties may include rounding on inpatient facilities on an as-needed basis. After-hour and weekend responsibilities are required. Travel to the surrounding communities and in the local area to outlying Care Centers and Dialysis centers will be required. Attendance at arranged meetings and events will also entail some evening or weekend involvement.

Kansas – Emergency Medicine – Loan Repayment - New Grads Welcome!!!
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for an Emergency Medicine position in Kansas. Will consider experienced providers or strong new graduates. Autonomous position. Position is designed around call coverage with no scheduled on site hours. However, you can anticipate regular call back when you are on duty. Schedule is weekends only rotates from 7p Friday evening till 7a Monday morning (one weekend) then 7a Saturday till 7a Monday the next weekend, etc. Anticipated patient volume will be about 10 patients in 24 hr. day. Salary will be a base of $80-95k with incentive bonus of $10 for every patient seen for a total annual salary up to $110k. Comprehensive benefit package includes 4 wks PTO, malpractice, health insurance, dental/vision/disability, retirement, and 1 wk paid CME. Relocation assistance. Job Duties:
Responsible for a full range of diagnostic examinations, the development of comprehensive treatment plans when indicated, delivery of treatment within the personnel and equipment capabilities of the treatment facility, provision of mandated medical surveillance and preventive services, and the quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided.
Manage clinic staff, programs and processes
Provide training and/or direction as applicable to supporting employees i.e. Health Service Technicians assigned to them during administrative duties that include: maintaining statistical records of clinical workload, participating in education programs, and participating in clinical staff quality assurance functions.
Management Responsibilities for clinic
Treat all patients presented for care
Assessment: Obtain patient health and developmental history. Perform and record a health appraisal including physical assessment and evaluation.
Diagnose patients with common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma
Request x-rays and laboratory tests as deemed necessary
Plan: Formulate a health care plan for patients presenting for treatment, emphasizing self-care responsibility through the participation of the patient, family, physician and other health care professionals
Intervention: Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma within accepted protocols and/or in collaboration with a physician
Identify resources and coordinate referrals for patients requiring further evaluation and services
Evaluation: Modify the health care plan as warranted. Implement and participate in follow-up.
Support preventive maintenance and report equipment failures and inadequacies. Promote economical utilization of equipment, supplies and be cost conscious when ordering lab and radiological studies.
Adhere to departmental and clinical safety guidelines
Prepare and submit appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulations
Liaison and report to higher facility as required for patient’s continuum of care
Work collaboratively with healthcare team in Primary Care

Requirements:
Physician Assistant
Bachelor's Degree from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) certified Physician Assistant program;
or graduate from 12 month CAHEA PA program and a BS in health care occupation;
or graduate from 12 month CAHEA PA program with a five (5) year period of progressively responsible healthcare experience such as independent duty medical corpsman, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, medical technologist or medical technician
Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Nurse Practitioner
MSN from a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited nursing program and have an American Nurses Association (ANA) certification as a Nurse Practitioner in either adult health or family practice
Experience in outpatient care in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine environment is preferred
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification
Current unrestricted license for the practice of PA/NP services
Current BLS certification by the AHA, ARC, ASHI or ACEP
Current ACLS certification by the AHA, ARC, ASHI or ACEP

The Mountain Sage Medical Clinic and Pacific University are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Physician Assistant to practice clinically with Tom Fitzpatrick MD and serve as clinical faculty for Pacific University in Burns, Oregon. The role of the Mountain Sage Medical Clinical Co-faculty is to practice as a full-time physician assistant at Mountain Sage Medical, Hines-Burns VA Clinic, and Harney County Hospital and at four (4) off-site remote medical clinics as designated by supervising physician, Tom Fitzpatrick MD.
As clinical faculty for Pacific University, the physician assistant will coordinate and supervise the clinical activities of the School of Physician Assistant Studies within Mountain Sage Medical, provide instruction in the didactic and clinical phases of the curriculum through distance delivery, and represent the School to the Harney county medical community.
The successful candidate will be a certified Physician Assistant with rural practice experience, a commitment to personalized patient care, excellent administrative and communication skills, computer literacy, a minimum of three years of clinical experience, a Master’s degree, and teaching experience preferred. This 12 month position reports to Tom Fitzpatrick MD and has a clinical faculty rank at Pacific University based on previous teaching experience. This position is partially funded by federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Burns, Oregon is located in the northwestern tip of the Great Basin in the largest county in Oregon. The beautiful Steens Mountains are 60 miles SE of Burns and are part of our rural outreach program. The Blue Mountains are immediately north of town, while the High Desert is East and West. Job Duties:
Responsible for a full range of diagnostic examinations, the development of comprehensive treatment plans when indicated, delivery of treatment within the personnel and equipment capabilities of the treatment facility, provision of mandated medical surveillance and preventive services, and the quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided
Treat all patients presented for care
Assessment: Obtain patient health and developmental history, perform and record a health appraisal including physical assessment and evaluation
Diagnose patients with common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma
Request x-rays and laboratory tests as deemed necessary
Plan: Formulate a health care plan for patients presenting for treatment, emphasizing self-care responsibility through the participation of the patient, family, physician and other health care professionals
Intervention: Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses or minor trauma within accepted protocols and/or in collaboration with a physician
Identify resources and coordinate referrals for patients requiring further evaluation and services
Evaluation: Modify the health care plan as warranted, implement and participate in follow-up
Adhere to departmental and clinical safety guidelines
Prepare and submit appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulations
Liaison and report to higher facility as required for patient’s continuum of care
On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the functional area
Meet all Joint Commission standards
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Current unrestricted license for the practice of NP in Ohio state
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification
Current BLS by the AHA, ARC, ASHI or ACEP Certification
Physically capable of performing all services with reasonable accommodation
