Full Time, Varied Shifts
Roger Williams Medical Center is seeking a full time Surgical Physician Assistant that will provide surgical care to patients throughout the Hospital. As an integral part of the Surgical Services team, the Surgical PA provides continuity of care for the surgical patients admitted to the ICU. In addition to assisting in the coordination of care for the ICU surgical patients, the Surgical PA serves as the link to the ICU Medical and Surgical Directors and the Attending Surgeon or coverage.
The Surgical PA will provide support for the Attending Surgeons on staff; respond to emergency situations requiring surgical expertise on all hospital patients and will perform emergency surgical admissions.
To qualify for this position, you must be a graduate of an AMA-recognized physician assistant training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant and must have a State Physician Assistant License.
ACLS certification and current DEA Registration is required.
Candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years experience.
New Graduates with previous health care experience will be considered.

We are seeking a Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an established Neurology practice in North Dallas, Texas. The Provider would work with a diverse group of patients including general neurology, head injuries, stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s disease. The practice operates an active clinical research program, provides services to include EEG, EMG, Botox, DBS and VNS programming along with general neurology exams. North Texas – Family Practice
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for a Family Practice clinic in North Texas. Will consider experienced providers only. No new graduates. In this role, you will provide direct care to surgical patients under the supervision of a physician/surgeon. You will assist the surgeon during surgical procedures by carrying out surgical functions as directed by the surgeon in order to ensure optimal results to the patient. You will provide comprehensive evaluation, management, and care to pre and post operative patients as well as develop a comprehensive plan of care and review with supervising physician. Other duties include participating in the patients’ education specific to surgical procedures and post-operative care; determining, ordering, interpreting, and documenting appropriate tests, treatments, and drug prescriptions; assisting in surgical rounds at the hospital; collaborating with the physician and other clinical staff members to maintain continuity of care; referring patients to supervising physician or with physician agreement to other health/professionals as appropriate; and participating in developing, reviewing, and revising medical/surgical protocols. In addition, you will participate in training staff and students as necessary and integrate the principles of patient safety and quality care into the daily practice. The practitioner will be assigned to a specific location every day depending on surgical cases and clinic need which will be determined by the Area Service Chief. Location assignments will be made monthly whenever possible, according to access needs; assignment sites may be changed on short notice.
Qualifications include:
• One year of experience assisting in orthopedics or neurosurgery preferred
• Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program
• A bachelor’s degree
• ACLS certification is preferred
• Board certification from NCCPA – with the ability to renew it every six years
• A current Virginia Physician Assistant license
• A DEA number is required if practice agreement authorized prescribing of controlled substances
• A written delegation agreement with supervising physician on file with Kaiser Permanente Physician Professional Quality Assurance Office (PPQA) and the appropriate state Board of Medicine
• A current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• NPI
