We are a 3-man group with a stellar reputation in Broward County. Our main office is in Fort Lauderdale across the street from the newly rebuilt Broward General Medical Center. We have a satellite office in Weston which is housed in the same building as one of the 2 surgicenters we utilize. Another satellite office will soon be opening in Key Largo but will likely be staffed only by our current PA. Our offices are linked through a paperless digital charting system and digital x-ray. The new PA will be working predominantly with Dr. Kevin Shrock who has been with the practice since 1994. Dr. Shrock was educated at Yale, received his medical degree from Stanford, completed his residency at Harvard and his fellowship with Doug Jackson, M.D. He offers a variety of state-of-the-art orthopaedic services for young, active weekend warriors including Birmingham Hip Resurfacing, mini incision joint replacement, arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder, knee, and hip, and treatment for a variety of bread-and-butter orthopaedic problems. He is a staff physician for USA Gymnastics. Our new PA must be very personable, comfortable with computer use and dictating for office notes, and experienced in managing orthopaedic patients in the office as well as in the ER and hospital. Spanish fluency is helpful but not required. Salary and benefits are competitive with negotiable incentives built in to benefit the motivated PA. We believe that, philosophically, a PA should be a physician surrogate not just an employee.
