There is a good volume of personal injury and workers compensation. The work hours are 35 to 40 per week. No

PA Job Description: As a Physician Assistant at the University of New Mexico, you will join 15 other NNP's and
PA's in our 52 bed Level III NICU. You will work with eight neonatologists, three fellows and five departmental
specialists in this busy NICU service which offers all subspecialties. The PA diagnoses and treats in collaboration with
these colleagues, makes independent and interdependent decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, management, and
evaluation of the health care needs of the infant at risk. Performs clinically indicated and advanced inpatient
management responsibilities with night call in the NICU as well as 24/7patient management coverage for the Newborn
Transport Program via ground and fixed wing air ambulance. There are many teaching, research, and mentoring
opportunities available.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree; no previous work experience required. State of NM Certified
Physician's Assistant; Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: NRP Certification. Additional education in related field. Experience in direct
