Our Advanced Practice Providers work a five day per week, day shift. No

The
position will work at the South Bronx site and be responsible for
providing mid-level practitioner care of volunteers enrolled in
prevention and vaccine studies. Responsibilities include
screening of
potential volunteers for clinical trials, reviewing volunteers' medical
records and health documents; providing counseling, including HIV pre-
& post- test and risk reduction counseling; providing clinical
care
to volunteers in accordance with protocols including clinical
assessment and follow-up, symptom management, clinical follow-up of
abnormal findings/laboratory values, consultation with the principal
investigator and protocol team as needed, and performing all protocol
defined procedures (including phlebotomy and collection of other
specimens); taking responsibility for medical decision-making in
collaboration with study physician related to the implementation of
study protocol and participant eligibility.
The position will
work closely with other clinicians in the research unit to ensure
smooth intra-unit communication on all clinical matters and overall
safe conduct of clinical studies; will actively participate in
unit-wide educational activities and presentations in the area of HIV
care and prevention; and actively participate in national conference
calls and meetings.

• Current NYS mid Level (NP or PA ) license
• At least 2 years of outpatient HIV primary care experience
• Clinical research experience strongly preferred but not
required
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
