The Dream Centers of Colorado Springs is a nonprofit collaborative community effort in Colorado Springs to provide holistic ministry (spiritual, mental, social, physical) to people in need of care while balancing our motives of compassion and justice. Advanced Practice Provider administering and overseeing a variety of assignments related to the provision of primary direct patient care and gynelogical care as designated by the Medical Director. Employee leads a medical team of volunteers to provide health care services as independently licensed professionals working within their legally-defined scope of practice and collaborating with the Supervising Physician to provide direct patient care. Compensation and benefits are very competitive. Clinic Director (PA or NP) - 32 hours/week.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: A. Current (active) licensure in as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado including demonstration of continued competency through state required continuing education or retesting, as required by board rules. B. Current National certification (NP-C, PA-C). C. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). D. Current United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
QUALIFICATIONS: A. Strong communicator and visionary leadership skills to internally own the values, vision and mission of the clinic and externally lead all staff and volunteers in carrying out the mission. B. Master's degree in nursing (NP) or as a physician assistant (PA). C. Minimum of 3 years practice, with education, experience in primary care/internal medicine and women's health. D. Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, conflict resolution, counseling, problem solving, decision making, oral communication, written communication, interpersonal relations, adaptability, change management, results orientation, and teamwork.

This is a new part time or full time position for the group that allows them to utilize a PAor FNP in a critical care/hospitalist role versus an MD/Physician. The hospital offers a small inpatient unit capable of handling most patients presented to the hospital. The new PA or FNP will get to be a part of a small dedicated staff which allows them to offer unparalleled customer service.
About:
• 8a-6p, no call. Part time or full time. Flexible shift scheduling. Providers share and work out the schedule.
• Average census is 5 beds with a max of 9 beds. Hospitalist is able to go to the clinic in the afternoon and see same day appointment patients.
• FNP or PA will treat all ages but 95% are 13 and up.
• There is no Intensive Care Unit, only medical, telemetry and surgical services for most patients requiring a short hospital stay.
• PA/Physician Assistant or APRN (Advanced Practice RN)/ MSN / ARNP/ FNP-BC, Family Nurse Practitioner will work alone at times but always have an MD available to them. ER/Emergency Room MD will always be on site for support if needed.
• Ideal candidate is Colorado licensed with recent and strong inpatient experience to include time in telemetry/PCU/TCU and medical surgical.
Requirement:
• Must have 2 years of strong inpatient or critical care experience/background (new grads must have at least 3 years strong inpatient RN experience)

AdvantageCare Physicians is currently seeking Physician Assistants for General Surgery and Urgent care in our Brooklyn and Staten Island medical offices. The Physician Assistant promotes and maintains health by providing medical services under the supervision of a collaborating physician, as well as works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.
Experience / Qualifications:
- PA – Urgent Care: Must have a minimum 2 years experience in an Urgent Care, Critical Care or ER setting
- PA – General Surgery: Must have a minimum 2 years experience in a surgery setting and have worked as a first assistant
- Bachelor’s degree
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program
- Current licensure as a Registered Physician Assistant with the New York State Office of the Professions
- Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization ability, time management and ability to prioritize work
- Ability to successfully manage a large and multi-tasked staff
- Excellent clinical expertise and decision-making
- Ability to exercise prudent and independent judgment, relative decision making with a high degree of accountability
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high customer volume work environment
- Master’s Degree
